For real adrenaline junkies who craves that intense feeling of heart pounding, sweat dripping, excited fear and excitement. Perhaps Kuta Lombok’s off- road Kawasaki motocross experience is for you. Up and down mountains, across valleys and through jungle. This one is not for the faint hearted.
For the less intense adventurous types, a day hanging out in the water waiting for the next swell is perhaps more your thing. Beach bars; surfing; coconuts; rolling roads with jungle views and all kinds of eating options? Head on over to Kuta Lombok, where you’ll find surfing options for all levels.
Do Volcanic climbs, Crater rims and lakes and waterfalls sound like some things you’d like to experience? Then have you considered Mount Rinjani for a 1, 2 or 3-day trek. Sleep under the stars, fish for your supper, cool off in a natural crater lake and photograph the diverse ecosystems, flora and fauna. A visit to Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep waterfalls is a great way to start, or end your climb of Mt. Rinjani.
Whether you hike Rinjani or not, the waterfalls Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep, located in the same village (Senaru) make a great 1 day excursion.
Those seeking a a less strenuous climb can visit Pergasingan Hill in Sembalun for the sunrise. Season dependant, you can also pick strawberries in this area.
Tetebatu also has lots of soft trekking options, rice terraces views, jungle, waterfalls and handicraft villages. It’s a great place to visit with kids due to its laid back and safe surroundings, and variety of trekking and walking options.
