Come and visit our village English Club. Here we teach children between the ages of 7 – 18 how to write and speak English. Our English Club is also a place for young people to come and hang out, which provides beverages and free wifi. Since many families in Lombok do not have their own wifi at home our club is an important place within the community where they can do homework, practice the English language and meet friends.

Eventually we want to offer work experience within the tourism sector to our students, giving them a greater opportunity for finding work when they leave school. We want to battle the island’s issues of high unemployment and low productivity, by inspiring our local young people to keep dreaming and think beyond this island. We find and pay local English speakers from our community to teach our students but we are always looking for and welcome English speaking visitors! If you want to experience life in a Lombok village, learn about our culture and share knowledge and experiences then this is the activity for you. Our community can offer you a home stay experience, staying a night in the village eating with your local family and learning about Lombok’s culture, cooking, customs and traditions. Or take a tour with us ‘Feel Lombok’ and part of what you pay will be a donation to the English Club.
